Ghosts of Levissi is a documentary film that tells the story of a small community in Asia Minor which was torn apart during the final days of the Ottoman Empire.  The nations that followed forced both Muslims and Christians alike to leave their homes forever.  Nearly a century later, the events of this population exchange still cause resentment and suffering amongst the descendants of these displaced families, while official, historical narratives have been shaped to fit national ideologies.  Now, plans are underway to turn the ghost town of Levissi, a historical reminder of this involuntary population exchange, into a holiday resort.  Ghosts of Levissi will tell the story of the towns inhabitants and hopefully help preserve the remains of this town.  Production for Ghosts of Levissi began in 2015 and has evolved to encompass principal photography on four continents.
